Days after Donald Trump’s renewed wish for U.S. to own Greenland, Denmark has announced an increase in military spending for the gigantic island. Greenland is a semi-autonomous region with its foreign and military policy under the Danish government. Meanwhile, according to the President-Elect, it is a necessity for the U.S. to own the world’s biggest island “for purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the world”.
