SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Two months before winning a Golden Globe Award for “A Different Man”, actor Sebastian Stan paid a visit to the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)’s annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival.
For the 2025 edition of the Golden Globes, Stan was nominated in two categories for two films, Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for the dark comedy “A Different Man”, and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for “The Apprentice”, which characterizes the early career of Donald Trump. He won in the former category.
It was “A Different Man” that brought Stan to the Hostess City for the 2024 festival.
There, he responded when told about the portrayal of his iconic character Bucky Barnes, Marvel’s “Winter Soldier”, helping a moviegoer deal with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
“I think you start to see work that can be meaningful but also be part of the bigger conversation. It’s not just you getting a job or trying to stretch your muscle. It has a purpose and a goal.”
Both “A Different Man” and “The Apprentice” are available for rent on Amazon Prime.
