Anthony Mackie will never stop hyping up his Falcon and the Winter Soldier costar, Sebastian Stan.
Moments after Stan, 42, won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for his role in Aaron Schimberg’s A Different Man on Sunday, Mackie and his Captain America: Brave New World costar Harrison Ford took to the ceremony’s stage to present the award for Best Animated Motion Picture. And, naturally, Mackie couldn’t help but take a moment to celebrate his longtime Marvel pal’s win.
“We’re still friends with Sebastian Stan, by the way,” Mackie jokingly told the audience, before making a show of looking around the ballroom for the actor. “I don’t know where… he’s my,” he continued, before making a heart with his hands.

Ford, 82, then pointedly poked a dazed Mackie on the shoulder to get him back on track. “Oh, my bad,” Mackie replied, turning back to the microphone as the crowd laughed. “My bad!”
Mackie and Stan have starred opposite one another in several Marvel projects over the years as Steve Rogers’ best buddies Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, respectively. In 2021, the pair headlined their own Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, cementing both their characters’ strong friendship and Wilson’s status as the new Captain America.

And their time in the MCU is far from over. Mackie is set to pick up the shield once again in his very own Captain America film next month, which will see him, amongst other things, go toe-to-toe with Ford’s rageful Red Hulk.

Stan, meanwhile, is gearing up for his own Marvel adventure in the upcoming film The Thunderbolts*. The ragtag group of Marvel misfits — which includes Stan’s Bucky, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, and David Harbour’s Red Guardian — must team up and find a way to work together before an unknown entity successfully wipes them all out.
Captain America: Brave New World drops on Feb. 14, while The Thunderbolts* strikes cinemas on May 2. Check out all of the Golden Globes’ winners here.
