Kris Boyd shoved Texans special teams coach Frank Ross, after the Chiefs returned the opening kickoff 63 yards, and tacked on an additional 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Boyd for taking his helmet off while on the field.
Luckily for Houston, its’ defense was able to stand strong and hold Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense to a field goal.
It’s the postseason, emotions are high.
For Boyd however, he better get his in check, or else this could be his last game as a Texan.
Some fans even joked he would be cut at halftime.
In a game of this magnitude, the Texans can’t afford to make many mistakes.
They must play nearly perfect, if they want to pull off the massive upset.
Boyd’s penalty and sideline spat, isn’t going to get it done.
The Texans are looking to carry over their momentum from last weekend to now, but Boyd’s early scuffle isn’t a good start.
Houston is coming off a 32-13 throttling of the Los Angele Chargers in the wildcard round.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs earned the one seed, once again, after they completed a 15-2 regular season.
It is the second time these two teams are playing one another.
The Texans visited Arrowhead in December, where they lost 27-19.
Stroud is hoping for a different result, but in doing so, he’ll have to do something no one has ever done against Mahomes.
And that’s beat him in the divisional round.
Mahomes is 6-0 in the second round of the postseason in his career, with dazzling numbers.
16 total touchdowns to zero interceptions.
Stroud is going to have to play his best game if he wants to best the best in the game.
As for Boyd, head coach DeMeco Ryans better rein him in, before he costs his team in another big way.
