Trail Blazers at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Trail Blazers 105, Magic 102

Moneyline

BET TRAIL BLAZERS (+290).

I’m rolling with the Trail Blazers to get the upset win in Orlando on Thursday night.

Portland’s heating up, winning and covering in its last 2 games and in its last 5 on the road. On the flip side, the Magic are spiraling, losing 4 straight and failing to cover in any of them.

Orlando’s roster is banged up, with nearly half the team questionable or doubtful for this one. Meanwhile, Portland has the depth to take advantage, with 8 players averaging 9 plus points per game (PPG) and 6 in double digits.

This feels like a simple case of one team having more healthy bodies and momentum. I like the Blazers to keep rolling and grab a solid road win here.

Against the spread

PASS.

If you’d rather take the points, that’s more than understandable. I’m taking the shot with the juicy odds on the moneyline.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 211.5 (-105).

The Under has hit in 7 of the last 8 games between these teams, and I see it happening again.

Orlando’s defense has been locking teams down, allowing just 104.4 PPG, with the Under hitting in 7 of their last 10.

Portland’s offense isn’t exactly lighting it up either, putting up just 108.1 PPG.

This one’s shaping up to be a low-scoring grind. I’m rolling with the Under.
