BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Merritt Island, Rockledge, and Cocoa, Florida, and will remain in effect until 2:45 p.m. ET.

Residents in these areas are urged to take precautions and remain alert as hazardous weather conditions develop.

The warning indicates the potential for:

– Damaging winds exceeding 60 mph. – Heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding. – Frequent lightning, posing dangers to outdoor activities.

– Possible hail formation.

These conditions could result in damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines.
