The 2025 UFC season formally kicks off with the first numbered event of the year, featuring two major title fights. We’ve put together everything you need to know about where to watch UFC 311, including live streaming info and a look at the main fight card.
UFC 311 will see Islam Makhachev defend his lightweight belt from Renato Moicano. Makhachev holds an impressive 26-1 professional record and has been the lightweight champion since 2022. Moicano has gone 20-5-1 in his career. Makhachev was originally supposed to fight Arman Tsarukyan, but Tsarukyan had to drop out on Friday due to a back injury, per ESPN. The evening’s co-main event will see Merab Dvalishvili (18-4) defend his bantamweight title against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov (18-0).
The fights will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, and be available to live stream through ESPN Plus in the US. The main card requires a subscription and a PPV fee, which we’ll dig into below, along with everything else you might need to know about tuning in tonight.
Where to watch UFC 311 in the US
UFC 311 live streams on ESPN Plus in the US. While preliminary rounds are usually available to all subscribers, you’ll need to pay a PPV fee (in addition to the standard subscription charge) to watch the main card. Monthly subscriptions cost $11.99/month, and the PPV fee is $79.99. This is a bit of a steep charge, but you can find some savings if you don’t already have a subscription, which we’ll dig into below.
ESPN Plus is designed for sports, giving subscribers access to live MLB, NHL, NFL, soccer, golf, and UFC fights. You can pay $12 monthly or go for an annual deal, which saves you about $20 a year. There’s also a bundle with Hulu and Disney Plus, which offers an even better discount.
ESPN Plus offers a PPV package, which bundles PPV access to the next event (UFC 311, in this case) with an annual subscription for $134.98. Normally, an annual subscription costs $119.99. Combined with the $79.99 fee, this would otherwise cost almost $200. This package offers you both for just $134.98, a whopping $65 off. The October price hikes didn’t affect the package, which saw ESPN subscription fees increase across the board, so it’s the best deal that the streaming service offers. Just remember that you’ll need to pay a PPV fee every time you want to watch a future numbered UFC event.
UFC PPV + Annual ESPN+ Membership (Bundle)
ESPN+ is the home of UFC PPV events, meaning that fans need to purchase a subscription in addition to buying the one-off cards. ESPN is offering a bundle for both new subscribers and monthly subscribers to purchase a specific UFC PPV event along with a year-long subscription to the streaming service.
UFC offers widespread coverage, so there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be able to watch UFC 311 around the world. Discovery Plus offers access in the UK for £30.99/month, and Canada shows events through UFC Fight Pass, which costs $65/event.
People can check their local listings for more information, but fans who find themselves traveling in a region where they can’t access their usual ESPN Plus or Discovery Plus subscriptions can try using a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs let people change their electronic device’s virtual location so that they can access their go-to websites and apps from anywhere.
Our top recommendation is ExpressVPN, which offers an impressive number of servers and some great cybersecurity perks. Plus, the app comes with a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee. You can read more about it in our ExpressVPN review, and see below to learn how to use a VPN.
With its consistent performance, reliable security, and expansive global streaming features, ExpressVPN is the best VPN out there, excelling in every spec and offering many advanced features that make it exceptional. Better yet, you can save more than 60% right now and get up to four months free.
